Illuminated Panels
Illuminated art is a series of light objects at the boundary between art and light design.
As colors and shapes, light is a strong communication tool.
Light is studied to highlight elements in the artistic composition and generates changing atmospheres always different thanks to the dimming LEDs sources.
Kota in Jungle is a biographical reference to Kostas’ experience while living in beach jungle with local tribe populations. He is impressed by the simplicity and yet complex life of these people as well as by their beauty and care for their traditions and rituals. In these illuminated art pieces he frames scenes of happiness and freedom: an engaged couple, a king, parents. These characters have interesting features representing natural tribal elements combined with the sophistication of Kosta’s geometry and artistic composition.
